For my hand project, I decided to go with the guiding question, "Why does our ability to have hands that have fingers and poseable thumbs make us superior to other species of animals?" I chose this guiding question because us having poseable thumbs and fingers gives us many advantages over species who don't have them. It was interesting to explore those advantages and why we feel more powerful over these other creatures because we have the ability to manipulate our hands to do everyday tasks like typing, picking up a pencil, and eating, among other things. While having poseable digits might not seem too exciting to us, it gives us the ipportunity to build, explore, and create things that other species cannot do.
